All this week, the Xi Theta chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority is celebrating 91 years of service with plans to host several events on the theme of Pretty Poodle Network.
Ideas for the event came first, followed by a theme for the week, said SGRho member Charish Anderson.
“We planned a little backwards for our week,” she said. “We knew we wanted to play silent library, host a funnel and slushy sale, as well as yoga and Pilate’s session. So we then had to figure out a theme that would match our various events. What can be more perfect than Pretty Poodle Television?!”
Some of Sigma Gamma Rho’s events are based on their sorority’s main focus and initiatives. To start the week, they’re hosting a party based on “So You Think You Can Dance.” They’re ending the week on a funny note with Silent Library Sigma Gamma Rho Style.
“As the semester quickly winds down, we want to give students an opportunity to relax and have some positive fun on campus,” said member Charnice Jones.
Members said they want to provide a place for the campus to be more unified and enjoy being in each other’s company.
“During Silent Library, different organizations will be participating, which will make the program mixed but unified,” said Dejour Young. “I am my brother’s and sister’s keeper so at the end of the day we are all responsible for each other, not only in Greek Life but the campus as a whole.”
