This year’s Homecoming concert headliner will be rapper Juicy J, a choice that got a mixed reception from students of The Lincoln University this week.
“I’m actually disappointed in the artist that they picked,” says Philadelphia senior Alileah Alexander. “But I know the SGA worked with what they had, so I’m still going to enjoy the concert.”
Juicy J is best known for his song “Bands a Make Her Dance” and this summer’s “Bounce It.”
Some students felt there were many different artists that the school could have chosen, citing that they didn’t think Juicy J was considered a popular artist anymore.
Other students loved the choice.
“Yes! Juicy J gets everyone hype,” says Kiara Jackson, a junior from Washington, D.C.
The concert is just one event planned for next month’s Homecoming.
