Imani Millones-Roman Wins Miss Black and Gold

Imani Millones-Roman won the Miss Black and Gold scholarship pageant for the 2013-2014 school year.

The pageant, hosted by Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., judged the women on several categories,  swim wear, talent, evening wear, and question and answer.

Roman, also a university cheerleader, performed a captivating rendition of her favorite Alicia Keys songs on piano and recited a poem called “Black Girl” in honor of the black women who have inspired her.

Lincoln University President Robert Jennings attended the event, and was pleased with the performances.

“The ladies did spectacular, president Jennings said, “All of the ladies did beautifully and it is unbelievable the amount of talent we have on this campus.”

The night was full of tremendous talent and glittering ball gowns. After a former queen Kiara Jackson made her final descent to her thrown ,the princess were presented to a supportive mix of friends and family.

The Alphas recognized Jennings and Vice President of Academic Affairs Carl Walton for their support.

Also in attendance for the event was Kiara Jackson, who won the crown last year.
