By Ivana Whitfield
Imagine being the opening act for Meek Mill, Fabolous and TCB. That is what the department of Student Life and Development is offering to the winner of The Voice.

The Voice, a singing competition open to Lincoln Students, is being put  in place for students to display their vocal talent.

Yesterday was the start of sign-ups for the competition to be held on Oct. 11.

Coordinator of Student Life and Development, Shawn Moore, mentioned, “Not many people have signed up yet.”

This will be last Roaring Thursdays event of the semester, a series, sponsored by Student Life and Development, aimed at providing students with alternative activities, instead of partaking in what is commonly known as “Thirsty Thursday”.

The deadline for sign-ups this is this Friday, Oct. 5.

Along with being the opening act for the 2012 homecoming concert featuring Fabolous, Meek Mill and TCB, the winner of this event also wins one free voice lesson with Lincoln University’s choir director, Dr. Coleman.
