“Social media has changed the way we communicate,” he said.

Miller wants to provide an environment on the website where alumni, faculty and students can turn to get the latest news of Lincoln.

“If we create a go-to site pretty soon you’ll have other institutions looking at Lincoln,” he said.

Miller believes that the website should be updated so that the internal messaging between students and faculty are improved.

While workings as a broadcaster in Utah Miller covered high profile stories such as the Elizabeth Smart kidnapping , the 2002 Olympic winter games and the 1997 to 1998 NBA finals.

Interim Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Andre Dixon, was unavailable for comment on Miller’s new position at Lincoln.
