By Nandi Marshall With the new school year in full swing, the Student Government Association (SGA) has implemented a new idea to enhance the school spirit in students, faculty and staff. Orange and Blue Fridays is something that has been a university tradition for quite sometime now ,but SGA along with the National Pan-Hellenic Council, wanted to take it a step further and make it Outrageous Orange & Blue Friday’s in order to grasp the attention of everyone willing to participate.
Vice President of External Affairs, Regan Farley has high hopes for this new initiative.
“This year one of the goals for Student Government Association is to restore PRIDE on our campus,” said Farley. “We strongly believe that Pride is the foundation for each of our other initiatives for the year. Which include Academics & Campus Cleanliness.”
Outrageous Orange & Blue winners were announced during the homecoming pep-rally.
The students wore orange and blue from the beginning of September to the end and won free tickets to the homecoming step show sponsored by The National Pan-Hellenic Council as well as concert tickets sponsored by The Student Government Association.
Junior, Bianca Constant is excited about the big give away and has all intentions of winning.
“I think SGA of 2011-2012 is doing a good job with keeping students involve and this is a sure way to achieve that,” said Constant.
