Dustin Fowler and Monique Barnes were crowned Mr.and Mrs. Lincoln University for the 2013-2014 school year.

Second Place winner Erin Washington was crowned Ms. Legacy. Third place went to Sharray Grant and she was crowned Ms. Orange and Blue.

The competition opened with a 50s inspired musical number showcasing each of the contesteants.

“All of the ladies are so talented,” said spectator Shauna Ebanks.

This year the contestants were judged on their success in six categories. 30 percent went to the introduction, 20 percent for oratory, 20 percent for talent, 10 percent for the Question and answer, 10 percent for evening wear, and 10 percent student vote. Voting opened April 1 online and closed at 8 p.m. that evening.

Some student weren’t happy with the new judging layout.

“I think its stupid that you vote before the competition. I need to see what their about before I vote,” a student via Twitter said.

Former Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Carmello Thomas and Alexis Morgan adressed the audience one final time before crowning the new winners.

“Never forget what got you to where you are now, Morgan said, “The sash and the crown are just symbols. The best is yet to come.”

“This year was filled with growth and excitement. The position has blessed me and I will always be your Mr. Lincoln,” Thomas said.
